Hey, remember when I built this closet 5 months ago and I was like “I’m gonna get some baskets and organize everything and I’ll keep you guys posted”?

It’s been 10 years since Scott proposed (with this selfie, because I had no idea that ring was on my shoulder). Scott, you are my favourite person. My best friend. My confidant. These last 10 years with you have not been without challenges, but overall, there’s been many more ups than downs. Here’s to many more decades and selfies together. 😘

Celebrated my baby’s 1st birthday this weekend and I’m still giddy with excitement about how well this balloon garland turned out 😍

Did you know balloon garlands are actually super easy and affordable to make? All you need are balloons and a balloon arch kit which usually includes a special plastic strip with holes and some sticky dots! You can get a pack of 5 balloon arch kits for under $10 on Amazon. I also bought all these balloons in a kit on Amazon for $18, which means this whole thing cost me a grand total of about $20. So affordable, but so cute and it makes a big impact! Bonus: instead of tossing them in the trash after her party, I gave all the balloons away on Facebook Marketplace after I was done with them so that someone else could use them for their celebration. Reusing things ftw 🎉

I’ve never liked fall. Whenever the leaves start

I’ve never liked fall. Whenever the leaves start turning yellow, I get anxious because it means that winter is just around the corner and winter means cold weather, short days with little sunlight, and dangerous driving conditions.

This year has been different. Instead of worrying about a winter that isn’t even here yet, I’m embracing the beauty of the current season. It’s always a short one in Alberta, but I’m learning to love watching the leaves fall down like big raindrops, hearing the crunch of them under my feet, and breathing in the crisp autumn air.

Maybe it’s because my daughter was born in October and I now have something about the season to look forward to, or maybe it’s because a COVID world has taught me to embrace the present moment more instead of always worrying about things I can’t control, but this fall has been beautiful and eye-opening.

Winter is coming, but it’s not here yet.

So. Much. Random. Stuff. Ready? Okay here we go: - a pampers swag bag
- a couple hangers
- a baby gym that I built (clearly pretty poorly because it broke)
-a couple belts
-dog booties I made that just don’t work
- a couple books
- a dog toy my dogs couldn’t care less about
- a sun hat for my one dog (it works about as well as you can picture a hat for a dog working)
- some dried out paint pens
- a Christmas ornament I found under my couch that I would rather get rid of than take to my Christmas storage
- more baby things (sorry)
- some of my husband’s old shirts
- a duvet cover that shrunk and no longer fits our bed

Phew! This is getting intense. But today marks exactly 300 items!!! Who’s still with me on this Mins game journey?! ✋

Omg look it’s something other than baby clothes! I know this looks sparse but hear me out!

Today’s lot includes: a picture frame, old lozenges, a USB adapter of some sort, paint, an outdated cord, a broken earpiece, a box that once held a watch, some more paper items that have been lying around for too long and...wait for it...13 business cards! That totally counts, right? RIGHT?! Guys I’m getting desperate. Might have to go find some more baby clothes 🙈

Oh hey guess what I found? More baby clothes 😂 PLUS other stuff too (but mostly baby clothes). The other stuff includes:
- a kid’s book that makes absolutely no sense (I was reading it to Ava yesterday and literally shouted “what is this crap?! This has no plot!” And then I threw it on the ground #lonelyislandreference)
- breast pads (unused, obvi)
- a toy I bought for Ava last week. I sanitized it and it melted and now I’m afraid it’s poisonous
- 2 sets of baby socks that are too little for her now
- more socks with partners that are MIA
- a sleep sack
- a tick remover tool for dogs that I highly doubt would even work
- dried out wall putty
- old face cream
- 2 greeting cards from people (not sentimental)
- a towel in not-so-awesome condition
- a shirt from my work a couple summers ago
- baby clothes, as stated above.

5 more days!!! LET’S DO THIS.

M I N S G A M E : D A Y 2 7 I’m a little lat

M I N S G A M E : D A Y 2 7

I’m a little late posting because I got SUPER distracted reading old diary entries while I went digging for stuff to get rid of in my memory box. I started reading about my crush when I was 13 and before I knew it, three hours had passed. You know how it is.

Anyways, let’s get to today’s items, which are a mishmash of cleaning supplies, stuff from my “junk drawer” (it’s actually a junk box that sits on top of my fridge), and various items from my memory box that I decided weren’t actually that sentimental after all:
- swiffer and swiffer wet pads. My swiffer no longer does the trick compared to @gocleanco’s spin mop + tide + hot water floor cleaning recipe. Seriously, go check it out.
-2 tapes
-2 pins (if you look closely you will see that one has my face on it... my stats teacher in university REALLY liked making pins and made pins with all his students’ faces on them and for some reason he gave me 2, so 1 gets tossed)
-4 old, broken pieces of jewelry that I thought were sentimental but are really just in bad shape
-my first cross stitch, which is actually pretty terrible
-denim tape that I used to repair some jeans awhile ago
-3 Allen keys that came with IKEA/Structube furniture
-an old recipe book
-4 photographs
-a postcard
-a Christmas vest that my mom made for me that is so unbelievably 90s
-a little diary with one entry in it from when I was 6 (the entry was a to do list 💁🏼‍♀️)
-my hep B immunization record
-a homemade bookmark that my stepmom made for me (another thing I have two of for some reason)
-2 poster projects from school that take up a lot of room (life tip: just because you got 100% on a project, does not mean you need to keep it forever)

My husband said that we can clean out the closet in his music studio tomorrow so hopefully I’ll find enough stuff for day 28 🤞 I’m getting so desperate you guys hahah help me
